New Years Meetup?

Hi everyone! I'm coming to New York on Saturday, and staying through Monday. I'm planning to do Times Square for New Years Eve, but I'm going to be around for the better part of three days. I'd love to get together with people, even if it's only to meet up for coffee. OR, even better, maybe we could gather a group of us to meet at Times Square together for Sunday night. I'm also trying to get rush tickets for RENT on Sunday afternoon. For anyone going to be in the NYC area, are you interested in any of these things?

I'm going to be staying at singlewoman 's house in New Jersey, but we're going to be in the city quite a bit. I hope some people have the time to meet up. Doesn't have to be anything big or fancy. I just miss people, and would love to hang out. New Years Eve antics would be even better. Any takers?

Eep! I had no idea that's how they do it, but it makes sense. What time would you recommend us "staking out" our space? My sister wants to go to a matinee show of RENT, which gets out at 5:00. Should we not do the show, if we want to get into Times Square?
