Okay, my cousin sent this to me, and I laughed my way through the entire thing.  Yes, I am indeed a child of the '80s.  Here's the list, with my commentary...

You know you're a child of the 80's when.....

Well this is a story all about how my life got flip turned upside down.  I'd like to take a minute - just sit right there - I'll tell you how I became the prince of a down called Bel Air...

4. Girls wore biker shorts under their skirts and felt stylishly sexy.
I didn't wear skirts.

5. You yearned to be a member of the Baby-sitters club and tried to start a club of your own.

My sister had the whole collection.  I won't admit to reading them.

6. You owned those little Strawberry Shortcake pals scented dolls.

By the time they had all lived in the same container for a year, the scents melded together into fruit salad.

7. You know that "WOAH"; comes from Joey on Blossom

There are people who didn't know that?  WOAH...

8. Two words: Hammer Pants

9. If you ever watched "Fraggle Rock"

12. It was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

Okay, this one I didn't know.

There were clips for that?  We just knotted them.

I'm still not living in the mansion, damn it!

Couldn't afford them.  The cool kids had them though.

Even the boys would wear hot pink.  It was cool with black and neon green.

We had a long discussion about that once...

I had this kick-ass Rainbow Brite lunch box.

I can admit... I have done that within the past year.

No.  She-ra and Wonderwoman.  He-Man was busy getting it on in the Bat Cave.

33. You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you exchanged handmade friendship bracelets.

But they worked!  I swear!

34. You ever owned a pair of Jelly-Shoes. (And like #24, probably in neon colors, too)

Green ones.

35. After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you kept saying "I know you are, but what am I?"

Okay, okay... I came THIS close to putting that line into a fanfic chapter before I caught myself.  BAD DOBBY!

37. You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates.
I'm still a hot ticket on real roller skates.  Those are awesome.

38. You ever got seriously injured on a Slip and Slide.
CRASH!  Yes.  Yes I have.

40. You had or attended a birthday party at McDonalds.
SQUEE!  Happy Meals!  Back when they came in boxes with games on them!

I still have a Popple.

44. You wore like, EIGHT pairs of socks over tights with high top Reeboks.

Couldn't afford Reeboks, but they were The Thing.

Uh-huh.

46. You remember boom boxes. . and walking around with one on your shoulder like you were all that.
Once again, I couldn't afford them... but the cool kids had them.

47. You remember watching both "Gremlins" movies.
And whatever you do, don't feed him after midnight...

48. You know what it meant to say "Care Bear Stare!!"

49. You remember watching "Rainbow Bright" and "My Little Pony Tales"

I believe I still have some of the movies and cartoons on VHS.

50. You thought Doogie Howser/Samantha Micelli were hot.

And his love for cats...

I actually didn't like them.

53. You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell: The ORIGINAL class".

Zack, Slater, Screech, Lisa, Jessi, Kelly, Mr. Belding, Miss Bliss... yeah.

54. You know all the words to Bon Jovi - SHOT THROUGH THE HEART.

SHOT THROUGH THE HEART!  AND YOU'RE TO BLAME!  YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME!

So, I guess that confirms it... Sad, but true.

And... you know you're getting old when your age group has a list like this.

Yeah they were twins... but you didn't find that out right away if I remember correct. And a lot of kids kind of ignored that part.

You find out their siblings in episode 3 and that they are twins in episode 4. And how could anyone ignore it? It came up alot... like in every introduction from the 4th episode onwards.

How sad is it that I know that?
