Date: 2005-10-15 10:49 pm (UTC)Okay, this one I didn't know.
Oregon Trail was a super lame (yes, all my people ALWAYS died!) computer game. I sucked at it. I was *never* super-excited.
And I still have a popple. It is hot pink and laughs if you squeez it's ear.

Date: 2005-10-15 10:58 pm (UTC)Read the list and well, I had to plead guilty 10 times or so. Most of them had something to do with cartoons (the Ninja Turtles ruled!).
As for all the others... well, in 1989 I was five, so... umm... I guess one could say that I did some of the 10 things in the early 90s. I do remember that a friend of mine in primary school was quite a fan of the Gremlins and i've seen the films, too.
awww. *hugs* you're not old. you're simply very knowledgable about all things 80.

referring to your reply to my comment: the funny thing was. I had just eaten a cookie shortly before I read it.

Ahem. I'm fine, really. Wasn't alive for much of the eighties and I still got at least half of that list. How silly. The list is really cute, though I completely concur that mullets were never, and will never be, cool.

Not only was I born in a time when all this was beyond relevant *cough1974* I lived in New Jersey, so you couldn't graduate highschool if you didn't know the words to his songs. (For extra credit you had to sing Jersey Girl and Born to Run by The Bruce.)
The hair thing was a given, in some regions of New Jersey you can still find the elusive 'Big Haired Guid-ette'. I'm thinking of starting a charity to keep those mousse-challenged girls around forever.
