Terminus Proposals, Wedding Dress, and other stuff.

Okay, the quick run-down:

1. All of my Terminus proposals have been accepted.  That means I'll be leading the following roundtables:
- Harry Potter: The Missing Years (A discussion of the 3 to 4 years after the Battle of Hogwarts.)
- Harry/Draco: The Next Great Adventure (Shippers' Summit.  Come one, come all!)
- Sadistic Authors and the Characters We Love (to Torment) 
- Using Fanfic for Sexual Exploration
- Fanfic Reading: select scenes from "Eclipse"

So... which ones will you attend?

2. I bought my wedding dress yesterday.  Pictures later.

3. Stupid people suck.  I'll elaborate later.  It's funny if you don't have to deal with it yourself.

Oh no, we were totally operating under the impression that M was gonna wear a tux. We went dress shopping for me, and she just randomly pulled this one off the rack to go try on and it ended up being perfect for her. I'm just severely amused.

I'm so excited for you both. I hate weddings as a general rule, but watching you two get ready for yours is endlessly amusing (in a good way, cause oh god, that made me sound like a bitch.)

Hee. Amusing is good. We're throwing a lot of traditional elements out the window and even more into a blender for a complete remodeling, so I think the end product should be very "us". Which could be a little scary, but fun all the same. And there will be pictures, but I'll let M share them. Her in a dress only happens about once a year, so it's always a good idea to get proof.

I hate most wedding shit too, because usually it involves obsessive psychotic bride-to-be driving everyone else bat-shit crazy over what color lace they're going to use for the sachets of Jordan almonds. We're not doing that shit, which is why we're not causing our friends to become nauseous.

And... yes, you know me. But you also know that I wore a floor-length red dress for the ball at Prophecy. Give me SOME credit.

I hope so. Seriously, my only fear is that I'll miss other things I want to attend. I e-mailed the Programming board in concern over this, and mentioned that a lot of the same people are going to want to attend all the slash stuff, so I was hoping they'd spread out those presentations.

"Sadistic Authors" is one I really hope I can attend, I've had a meta post gathering dust for two years on that very subject, unfinished. I call it "Hell is for Heroes: Why Fanfic Authors like to abuse Harry Potter". Heee.

And doing roundtables IS fun for me. I love that sort of thing. And really, they're roundtables. I'm moderating, but other people are participating, so it's not ALL me. It's good that way. They're also all topics that I'd attend if someone else was presenting them, so I'd be there anyway. I'm a Leo and a Gryffindor.... I'm happiest when I have a microphone. :D

We're already pretty non-traditional, so I'm not too worried about the fact that not only has Fi seen it, but she was there when I tried it on both times, bought it, and took photos of me this afternoon.

And... hmmm, I don't know which one you'd enjoy the most. This is a tough call.

What are your proposals? I hope ours don't overlap so badly that we can't attend each other's!

Terminus: I would definitely go to 1, 4 and 5. But right now I don't expect to be going to Terminus at all. But things could change on that. Plus I'm sure they will be running another HP con next year.

Dress: I've seen you in a dress twice (do I hold a record among people who know you?) You will both look spectacular!
