New Apartment! Squee!

mijanI moved into my new place last night. I still have to put away a lot of stuff, and I need to properly clean the floor (the person moving out swept it, but it needs a good wash), but I'm really liking it. I keep finding details about this place that I love. The bathroom, for example, has these awesome heat lamps. You turn the timer, and those extra-bright lights come on. Usually, you only see those at hotels. I love those things! No more freezing my nubs off when I come out of the shower! Oh, and it's got a luxury shower head and plenty of water pressure. The bathroom isn't large, but it's arranged so well that it makes incredible use of space and doesn't feel crowded. The bath tub has really nice tiles, and the sink and vanity have a huge mirror and lots of lights. I love the details.
Both the bathroom and kitchen have great cabinetry, and tons of storage. It will definitely hold everything I have, and then some. No worries about storage. The only thing lacking in the kitchen is counter-space, but there's one decent-sized countertop next to the stove, overlooking the dining area. The stove is a little bit older than I'd like, but it's definitely clean and in perfect working condition. I'll be able to cook anything.
I don't plan to use the dining area for a dining room table. I'm going to use it as an extension of the living room. It's a perfect fit for either the sofa or the futon. Not sure which I'd rather use it for yet. Probably the futon.
I'm getting to know my new laptop. Oh yeah! Almost forgot to mention - I bought a new laptop computer last night. It's an Acer Aspire. Lots of bells and whistles, dual processor so that it won't freeze while I do my photoshop thing, and even a built-in webcam. I also got myself a printer-scanner-copier. I'm hoping to get all this stuff set up over the weekend. I really did need a new computer. The old one was dying rapidly.
I'm also going to get myself a new phone soon. Probably this week. I'm thinking Verizon. I've heard nothing but good things about Verizon, and I've had mixed reviews on every other service plan, even Cingular. I wanted to get a plan that would give me unlimited calls to as many of my friends as possible, so I hope a lot of you have Verizon!
Other than that, I'm going to New Hampshire for part of the weekend, but then coming back down to do some major moving-in stuff. I'll probably bring things from the storage facility bit by bit, and start really settling in. I'll take some pictures once the place is set up. :)
