Genovia, Genoooovia!

I brought my dinner into the crafting room to sit down with my computer, eat, and use the interwebz.  In my right hand was my bowl of chili, and in my left hand was a perfectly ripened pear.  I put the chili down on the TV tray that had my laptop on it, and plopped the pear on this red and gold throw pillow on my futon.  I sat down and looked at the pear.

It looked so regal, sitting there on the scarlet pillow with its gold embroidery.  So official.  And somehow, it required an anthem.

So I hoisted the pillow into the air and sang out, "Genovia, GENOVIA!!!"

And my wife looked at me like I was on crack.

She might be right.

I only watched the original the first time because my sister INSISTED. It was actually decent, for a Disney movie. And somehow, I actually watched it a few more times. I saw tiny bits and pieces of the second, but never actually watched it all the way through until I sat down with some of my Star Trek friends and watched it to mock Chris Pine's hairdo.

I can think of two very good reasons to own that second movie on DVD.

1. Soaking Wet Chris Pine.
2. Glasses-Wearing Chris Pine.

Oh yeah. I was a Pine fangirl before being a Pine fangirl was cool.

I've never read the books. I got suckered into the movie originally because of my little sister. (That's what younger sisters are for, right?)
