kaymyth snapped some pictures last weekend over at Trek Fest.  So did sphynxle , for that matter, but her camera was Teh Evil and ate them.

The 501st showed up, and as someone who is ALSO a Star Wars fan (hey, don't look at me like that!), I thought it was awesome.  Seriously, it's all sci-fi, and it's all good (except for Jar-Jar Binks), so why can't we all just get along?  Besides... there's a Stormtrooper.  In a kilt.  With a Starfleet insignia.  My geeky heart may implode:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! DEATH TO JAR-JAR! I mean... okay, maybe you saw the prequel films at a young age. I was watching the ORIGINALS when I was that age, and the prequels might have had shiny special effects, but the writing was a slap in the face to long-time fans. The directing was worse. And don't even get me started on the acting.

Hey, in comparison to the originals, I'm with you 110%. Jar-Jar's like the comic relief in the poorness of the writing. SO SUE ME, I'M WEIRD. *sulks* :D ♥♥
