I'm at work, but I'm sick.  WHYYYY?  I've been under the weather due to various inconvenient issues for well over a month now.  NOT PLEASED.  So, I'm distracting myself for five minutes with this meme I gacked from eerisedda .

Because they're taking the "conservative" approach and I'm going to go on hormone therapy for at least six months before they'll re-evaluate. The cyst is larger... but I've got small ones on both ovaries. PCOS. I'm just... sore, and no relief in sight.

Will the hormone therapy alleviate the pain at all? And I suppose it's best they be safe? (At least now you won't have to stay in the hospital?)

Hormone therapy will, in theory, prevent new functional cysts from forming. However, the cyst that's already there - they're just gonna wait until it bursts on its own. No, hormones won't alleviate pain.

But yeah, at least no hospital stay.

I'm just not looking forward to waiting for this cyst to either burst (which will hurt like the blazes of hell) or simply fade away (which will take forever). Of course, there's also the chance that it would keep growing. I do NOT like that idea.

Everything else is... pretty even-keel, to be honest. Just working, and trying to get some stuff done. Actually... I've got to walk back to work now, but I did just post a wrap-up sort of thing on my LJ, if you want to take a peek and read that while I walk back to work.
