See, this is why I've fallen so hard for this fandom. I've been involved with others, and they haven't been a tenth as welcoming as you guys. Love it!!!

Well, remember that folks like me come "from" other fandoms, too. I started in the Harry Potter fandom, and I've been there since 2002. I found that fandom to be amazingly welcoming (with a hefty side-order of snark). But yeah, the Star Trek fandom has a lot of love, and I think it's awesome.

What part of Canada? It's a huge country, and I've got a lot of relatives up there, especially in Nova Scotia. Most of my family live there.

I live in southern Ontario. It's kind of amazing to live in a country that has such a huge diversity of places in its borders, but the farthest away from home and still in Canada I've been is Ottawa. I would love to go out to Nova Scotia, or BC. Or Calgary! And no passport needed! lol

Huh, I just re-read And All the King's Men for your fic Convergence. Smiles widely, and I do love you. That story was utterly brilliant. Just brilliant. Your characterization was gorgeous, and seemed firmly in character, and your plot was bright, sharp, complicated, and awesome. I loved how you interwove real present danger, with past trauma, and both Pike and McCoy getting involved. Just... this is sighs, just absolutely great. -SB

I tried to post this on the original meem entry, but I'm not sure it went through; sorry if this is a duplicate.

You're utterly brilliant; you've opened my mind to a lot of things politically that I haven't had time to comment on, but that've meant a lot for me.

And All The Kings Men has me madly obsessed with Trek now, which I'd only vaguely heard of before reading. Since it was a new fic in unfamiliar cannon, it was confiusing for a good chunk, and then, it didn't matter. By the end, I was so caught up in the characters that the facts/trivia I didn't know were trivial. Of course, by the end of the fic, I wanted more of all of them, which means I'm now watching as many episodes as I can cram *g*
