Anime art! KKM! SQUEE! *cough*

Okay, I'm really getting carried away now.  I've never done anime style art before of any sort, but I had to give this a try.  Yes, I need to do some minor touch-ups via photoshop or something (mostly to get rid of the smudges and whatnot, and some strange shadowing from the scanner), but I wanted to post this and see what people think!  It's just a practice sketch.  No particular scenes.  Just characters in a bit of a montage.

Characters:  Yuuri, Wolfram, Murata, and Konrad.

I know that the full-length pic of Yuuri needs work (it was the first part of the sketch), and I don't know if the proportions of the faces are quite right.  I'm not used to the exaggerated proportions you find in anime.  Comments?  Suggestions?  Compliments?  (The latter are always welcome.  *grins*)

These drawings are awesome! Yuuri and Wolfram are spot on as is the one with the glasses, sorry can't remember his name. I remember Conrad as being more broody, more Sirius-like but since I haven't watched it as much as you have I trust your artist's interpretation. And I finally have heard of an anime series that my son hasn't. Made me very happy when I got back.

How was the snake show in NYC this weekend? Wish I could have been there, but since I blew off work to come to MA that weekend I figured that I had better show up last weekend!

The snake show was only okay-ish. Not spectacular by any means. There were some very cool exotic and venemous specimins, and the biologist in me was enjoying the phylogenic discussions posted with each display, but in truth, I've seen better and more visually impressive collections of reptiles in pet stores. There was only one "big" snake, and there were far more lizards than snakes. I was really rather disappointed.

Yes, it's my first. I was told last night that I made their faces too oblong though. I'm having a hard time adjusting to the different proportions on anime faces. But, I'm glad you like it!

I'm pinch-hitting for Frances Potter, known as dragon_charmer on LJ. She wrote "Resolution" under the pen name Frances Potter on FictionAlley. Sadly, she has left this fic unfinished, but I'm sorely tempted to ask her if I can finish it for her. It was the first H/D fic that I read, and... I just need to know the end! It's been four years since I started reading it! But it's so good!
