Podfic is what I would like to do to all of your fic, actually, depending on how listenable my voice would actually be...lol. It's this phenomenon of people reading, and recording, the fanfic of others in mp3 or m4b (audiobook) format for others' listening pleasure. I've been aurally devouring a ton of it the last few weeks--gives me something to do for eight hours of sitting in front of a computer. The idea is to expose people to fic they might not normally read, with the insinuation that if someone takes the time to podfic a work, it's damn worth a listen/read. I know there are a few 200k+ word fics in some of my fandoms that I just don't have the time to sit in front of my computer to read these days that I've been able to experience via podficcing.
There's a huge archive over at audiofic.jinjurly.com, and I feel strongly that Kirk/McCoy could use a bit more support over there. The general consensus is not to podfic a work without the author's permission, but I'd love to give a shot to reading a couple of yours. :)
