*blushes* I'm so glad you liked it! I wanted to hint a little bit more at Tarsus with each section, but mostly, I wanted to show what Jim would give of himself.
And yeah, you caught exactly what I wanted the readers to catch - the early hint of Tarsus IV, which everyone else would miss the entire time, including Bones, who technically knew about it.
I'm glad the structure of the story had the effect I wanted, and that the emotions of the painful past but the hopeful present worked so well.
