We all want to know what's going to happen.  We've all been puzzling over it.  SOOOO... here are my thoughts on the sixth installment of the Harry Potter series.

Likely Predictions:
~ The Half-Blood Prince is Colin Creevey.
~ Draco Malfoy will find himself stuck in a dangerous situation in which he HAS to work with Harry if he wants to live, OR he'll advertently or inadventently reveal something valuable to Harry.  He will definately make an attempt at revenge on Harry, and I give him a 50% chance of surviving 6th year.
~ We're going to discover something shocking about Neville -- why he's so forgetful.  (Memory charm at a very young age, perhaps?  From a hostile party?)
~ We're going to discover that the Longbottoms COULD have been healed/cured, but Lucius Malfoy's "generous" donations to St. Mungo's have been "pursuading" the healers to keep the Longbottoms silent.  I think they know something important.
~ Petunia is going to be much nicer to Harry.  In fact, I could even see a very awkward, unpleasant heart-to-heart.
~ There won't be another prediction, but SOMEBODY (Hermione, Harry, whatever) will notice the very awkward phrasing in the first prophecy, and Dumbledore is going to have to come clean.
~ The DA will continue as an official school organization... but as such, it's open to everyone.  And I think Malfoy is going to invade.
~ We already KNOW we'll learn something new about Snape.  JKR said so.  Personally, I think we're going to learn that Lily did SOMETHING incredible to help him, save his life, something.  And for that, he changed sides.
~ Fudge will be displaced as Minister.  Personally, I'd like to see the pompous windbag DIE.
~ Lucius Malfoy will escape from Azkaban.  In fact, I'd be just as likely to believe that Voldemort would take over Azkaban from the INSIDE, and from there, he can bide his time.  Like a pre-made fortress.
~ SOMEBODY will infiltrate Hogwarts.  Instead of these mind-games, someone is going to make a DIRECT attempt on Harry's life, ie. stabbing, poisoning, etc.  It might even be via the Imperious Curse, but it'll happen.
~ Oh yeah, and Ron and Hermione will end up together.  *rolls eyes*  Like nobody saw that coming.

Unlikely predictions, but interesting possibilities:
~ Lily isn't a Mudblood -- Petunia is a Squib.  (This is a REAL shot-in-the-dark... but think of the implications of this!)
~ Arthur Weasley: Minister of Magic!  :D
~ Slytherin wins a Quidditch match against Gryffindor.  (Come on, people.  It has to happen eventually.)
~ Wormtail isn't really important in this book... I'm waiting for book 7 to see him make his big move.

Well, I think that's all for now.  If I get creative, I'll post more later.  *tips hat*  Adieu!

My big personal theory is that Draco is already a spy for the Order. I have my reasons for this.

1. I actually don't think Snape can spy directly... I'm pretty sure that after the events of Stone Voldemort would never trust him again. And I;m pretty sure it was Snape that he was referring to as having left him forever. I think Dumbledore in Azkabhan was sending him to recruit spies among the Slytherin kids not to be a spy himself.

2. Draco's insult fests with Harry have the interesting habit of giving Harry info he needs. "Dogging your footsteps" in Phoenix for example. Not to mention that way back at the start of Goblet when the Death Eaters were having their little... ahem... party he effectively warned them that Hermione would be a target if they didn't get her out of the way and equally effectively indicated his parents were in the group in a way that sounded like he was trying to intimidate them.

3. Then there's the way Draco's potential attacks on Harry always get stopped. He either has the world's worst timing or he planned it that way.

Your reasoning is excellent, young grasshopper! A lot of people I've talked to have said that Snape could no longer be working as an actual spy because Voldemort wouldn't trust him after the first book. C'mon, he directly "outed" to Quirrel-mort.

And yes... a few of us have noticed that Draco slips information to Harry in wierd ways. I don't think he's a spy, but I SERIOUSLY think there's more to Draco than we give him credit for. But then, JKR *does* have a bad tendency to give us flat villians. *sigh*
