Arisia Cosplay: Frodo!

My brain is too tired to come up with anything coherent to say about Arisia other than the obvious fact that awesome convention was awesome.  However, while my verbal skills are currently lacking, that won't prevent me from offering Frodo Cosplay Picspam!  Here are some pics of me cosplaying as Frodo at Arisia.

One teaser:



First, here's my masquerade presentation, in order:

Frodo in the Shire. No ring, no war, no stress... yet:


Frodo receives the ring and realizes what he's gotten himself into.


Frodo receives his sword, Sting, from Elrond at Rivendell, upon becoming part of the Fellowship.

Frodo examines his blade.  I had to keep the sword peace-bonded into the scabbard for safety onstage, so I couldn't pull it out all the way, but it worked.  I love this picture:


One look back before venturing forward:


Frodo receives the Elven cloak and the light of Elendil from Galadriel.


Frodo approaches Mount Doom and prepares to drop the Ring. Gollum stalks Frodo and prepares to make his move for the Ring.


Tempted by the Ring's power... Frodo changes his mind and is briefly corrupted by the Ring.


After a brief struggle with Gollum, the entire stage goes dark and the music goes silent.  A few seconds later, a spotlight comes on as the theme "Into the West" begins to play, signifying that Frodo's quest is over:

Heh, I should get the part of the Hobbit in the new movie.

Chemistry is not lame. And maybe you don't understand it because you have a crappy teacher or something, but give it a chance. Hell, I'd teach you if you lived closer.

Chem is lameeeeeee. I hate it. I don't understand anything.
It's not my teacher. I'm the polar opposite of Penny. I have an IEP because I have ADHD. I have a hard time focusing. I was never good at science or math, so Chem is the death of me.

Chemistry is not lame. It's a brilliant puzzle, and once you understand the pieces, it all falls into place. So intuitive. And I know plenty of folks who have ADHD... and the successful ones are the ones who don't make excuses for themselves. Trust me... if my mother had let them, they probably would have diagnosed me with it. BUT I taught myself to focus, and I did just fine. And you can do just fine, too.

I kinda picked up on that. I've worked as a teacher, so I've seen it before. A lot of people are inherently smarter than they give themselves credit for, but they accept limitations for themselves that they don't need to accept. *sigh*
