help_haiti . And you know what? THAT'S FUCKING AWESOME.
The auction closes in an hour. I had wanted to re-pimp this sooner, but I haven't had time. I've been away at a convention, and yeah, I'm still sick. But this is still happening. It's real, it's important, and it can't be ignored. Yesterday, we were leaving Arisia (sci-fi con) in Boston, and taking a taxi to the airport. I thought I recognized the driver's accent, so I asked. And yes, he's originally from Haiti. So I asked if he'd heard from his family. He said yes, that he finally got through to them, and yes, most of his family is alive, so that's the good news. However, two are missing. Their houses are gone. Come on, guys - it doesn't get any more real than this. An ocean of distance is nothing, okay?
So we're doing what we can from here. I'm writing a fic. Do you want me to write you a fic? Your choice of rating, pairings, characters, plot prompts, kinks... anything. I'm even offering outside of my normal fandoms. I'll write at least 3,000 words of fic for you (probably more, knowing me).
