You know I adore betaing your work, mainly cause there isn't that much to actually do when I get it. Just read and enjoy before everyone else gets to see it. :D
THIS is how to do slash fluff. It is fluff, and hurt/comfort but they still remain two men. One hasn't been turned into an angsty teenage girl.
I have to say that this has to be one of my fav lines in the fic and there was a whole lot of fav lines "Painkiller, you paranoid daredevil. Now hold still." He reached out and pressed the hypospray against Jim's neck, a little less viciously than the last time he'd done that. It still hurt though. Perfect Bones insult with a hint of caring. *hugs*
Now onto Miss lizardspots art. I adore the starfleet tag on the pillow case and that Bones has blue socks to match his blue top. Does this mean that Jim normally wears gold ones? I'm claiming that as my own little fanon now. When you first look at it, the expression on Bones' and Jim's faces is what draws the eye and then you follow down to where Bones' arm is going and whoa hands in pants moment! The art goes from beautiful, tender moment between two men to insanely hot and dirty in all the best ways. Jim's fingers gripping the bed and Bones' knee, the curled toes. The contrast between the tension Jim is showing and Bones almost indolent posture is so, just *gah*.
The fic and the art compliment each other beautifully and so lovely to now see it shared with more people.
Here's to, hopefully, many more great collaborations between the pair of you.
