Cosplay pics!

mijanFrom the recent parties and events, I've done some cosplay as everyone's favorite 23rd Century doctor, Leonard McCoy, a.k.a. "Bones". I got a good set of pics, including several of me spinning fire while in costume. I was working with facial expressions and mannerisms. I like to really get my characters down when I cosplay. What do you think?

I think I liked this flask way too much. That's some good whiskey in there. No, seriously. There is.
Playing with facial expressions. Goddammit, I wish I was better with raising the one eyebrow.
More playing with facial expressions. I like this one. I was kinda surprised, but then, who ever sees their own profile view? I seriously am not sure what I look like from the side.
This one was an impromptu snapshot taken by my friend, but because I stay in character whenever I cosplay, even when not intending to take photos, this one really came out well. I'm pleased!

Date: 2009-11-05 01:22 pm (UTC)I had fun with the facial expressions. I'll admit, I'm working on the eyebrow thing by practicing in the mirror. It's not easy if you don't naturally have the ability.
Yeah, like ribbon dancing, only... aww, hell, I like living on the edge. I might be cosplaying as McCoy, but I'm a lot more like Jim Kirk. :D
