So, tonight, I'm going to a Halloween party hosted by the local Science Fiction and Fantasy society. Geeks + Halloween = mad crazy awesome. The theme is alien abduction. What to wear, what to wear? Oh hell, I'm wearing my Starfleet uniform and calling it good.
And in the meantime... I've made more TrekLOLz for you!
Enjoy...

More to come! I hope you enjoyed them!

*wink*
Yes, I'm relaxing, but I got a sad minimum of sleep last night. Went to bed at 5:00 AM. But the party was awesome! I dressed as Bones. Had a LOT of fun. Got some great cosplay pictures that I'll upload and post later.
And... work = SUCK. When will you be not-so-busy? *misses you* How are classes though?
And... okay, I NEED to whine and pout a bit, because I've been lamenting this to anyone who will listen... I MISS YOUR BETA STYLE SO MUCH IT HURTS RIGHT NOW. Because you are TEH AWESOME. And your style works so well with how I work. My beta and I have creative differences. NOT different writing styles, but creative differences. For example, the line of dialogue which is possibly my favorite single line in the whole fic, and is even THE LINE that I'm using to start my actual summary - she wants me to re-write it because she thinks it's too dramatic. *growls and flails*

Date: 2009-10-18 03:30 pm (UTC)Work is work, I guess. It's necessary - it's not that it's hard, per se, just time consuming. Although I'm finally managing to actually translate Greek verse without wanting to smash my head against a wall, which is a good thing. :D And classes/school is okay, actually. One of my English Lit teachers told me the other day that I should be applying for English at Oxford, not Classics, which made me quite smiley, but yeah.
I should be somewhat not-busy at half term, which starts on Thursday. :D *dances* Yaaaaay, holiday.
And I miss betaing for you! It was so much fuuuuuun, and just getting to pull it to shreds... *tear* *hugs* I'm not promising anything, now, but I am settling into my workload, and it's becoming less - if you wanted to send me the latest version of your fic, I think I could be able to take a look at it. I'm not promising the most intricate beta job, but a read-through and general comments (and probably the intricate stuff, too, because I tend to get into it) could be doable. It might take a while, but... :D
I don't want to tread on your current beta's toes, though. :/ Hmmm.
And anyway, do remember that above everything, it's your fic. If she recommends you to change a line that you love and think is perfect, don't change it. No one is going to love every single line you write, because that's not just how the world works. Stick to your guns, write what you write, and it will be awesome. I promise you. ♥

Date: 2009-10-18 03:59 pm (UTC)Yay for less busy at half-term! *dances with you*
And... I miss how you pulled it to shreds and helped me make it even better. Your work was always EXACTLY what my writing needed, even when it was just little tid-bits.
And no, you wouldn't be stepping on my other beta's toes. And I wouldn't care if you only gave it the most cursory look-over and picked out the spots that you felt needed the most work and gave your thoughts and suggestions on those. And besides, you DID beta the first section once, and therefore I'd be listing you as one of my betas ANYWAY. And as you just pointed out, it's MY fic, and I want what's best for it. If I can get any of your beta-ish opinions for my fic, THAT is what I feel is best for it. Even if it's not intricate, your style of beta work helps me put tricky scenes into perspective so that I can fix them properly. I swear, you have an amazing skill for finding the spots that are choppy or not quite right, and zooming in on them and helping me find just the right way to improve them.
And no, I didn't change that line I love so much. I'm sticking to my guns on stuff like that.
Here, I'll send you what I've got. Whatever you have time to do, I will be immensely grateful. And THANK YOU for the vote of confidence. It means a lot to me. ♥
