Just leaving links to the artwork I uploaded.  Some of them are just rough sketches.  Some of them are complete.  ALL of them were rush-jobs.  Sadly, I didn't really have time to nit-pick like I usually do, and I'm not totally satisfied with them.  Either way, here they are.

For "Beautiful World" by Melissa:

For "Eclipse" by Yours Truly:

Random sketch of Lucius Malfoy (which was orignally just a doodle I did because I was bored in class):

FEEDBACK PLEASE!  :)

Hmm, for the most part I think I like your black and white sketches better than the colored versions. I'm thinking you scanned in the sketches then colored the sketches with photoshop or something? The CG doesn't quite blend in with the penciled parts. Like with the beautiful world piece, you have most of it CGed, but then you didn't go over the lineart or the hair. The outlines of the faces, eyes, and hair is much more grainy or scratchy than the rest, and it just looks odd.

DracoRiver I think it would have been better if you kept the sketchy/grainy coloring through the whole piece. The leaves brush thing looks kinda weird. Like either keep it all sketchy, or all CG...or blend the two together seamlessly.
Like in this picture:
http://www.deviantart.com/view/10812378/
She used the same leaf brush thing but she made it blend into the background, or the overall texture of the piece, so it doesn't stand out as much.

DracoTeddy looks more complete since it's all in one texture...you just need to work on the contrast. I absolutely adore the teddybear though. The shadowing looks good, and the texture of your coloring fits in with the texture of the teddybear.

StabScene--I really like the tone of the piece and I think of all your pictures, it shows off your style the most. The necks may be too short though.

UnderTheCloak...On one hand, I don't completely like the sketchy texture of the majority of the piece, and then the sudden smoothness of the cloak. But then it's the invisiblily cloak and it just makes sense for it to have that shiny smoothness. On first glance, I didn't like it that much, but as I keep on going back to it, I like it more and more. ^^ I think the CG smoothness actually works in this case. The whole lalalasymbolism thing.

HarryTowel. Hmmm, I guess the pose is a little stiff, and the arms are too long, but otherwise it looks pretty good.

LuciusMalfoy. I don't know why, but this one is my fave of the pictures you posted up. The area from the bottom of the nose to the chin is supposedly out of proportion, but I think it fits his face well.

Overall I think you need to work on your coloring and proportions, but otherwise you've developed your own style that really grows on you and fits the Harry Potter series...

O-O Umm...I hope that's the kind of feedback you wanted. If not, sorry ^^;

By the way, Eclipse is probably my fave Harry Potter fanfic. It's absolutely great. I'll probably reread it sometime and review ^^;

Well, that's most definately feedback. The HarryTowel one is just a rough sketch. I planned to re-do it, but for now, I just decided to scan it in for fun. I know the CG isn't well blended. That's partly because of the limited time, and partly because I have no training/real experience on Photoshop. I promised Melissa that I'd have *something* for her this weekend, so I had to put up what I had, so that's why the Beautiful World piece needs work. I'm experimenting as I go a lot. The Draco River piece... also needs work, but I'm definately happy with some of the results. I'm learning a lot as I go. The Lucius Malfoy one was a surprise... I really *was* just doodling in class, and it came out really well.

Either way, I'll definately be editing these before I post them with the story directly. Thanks for the feedback. I'll see if I can work it in.

Hey, it's awesome that you're experimenting around, and my first attempts at photoshop were horrible. It's fun to mess around with it though. I hope you get more time to work on your writing and drawing. The more experimenting you do, the more you learn. Ugh man, I can't count the number of times I've half drawn something, worked on something else, learn something from it, then go back to the first piece and realised I should redo it.

I can't wait to see the edited versions then ^^.

Ooohh much better! Draco's hair looks silky and shiny. *_* And Harry's hair is suitably ruffled.

I love your art, especially the one with draco and the teddy, so cute.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to comment last night (crazy busy), but hurrah! Art!

*cough* As always: I know nothing about art and less about Photoshop. *cough*
BW: Draco's hair in the colour version is very pretty.
Draco River: I like how his clothes are all grainy. It makes it look a bit more like he's been living in the forest for days, gives the trousers a slightly muddier look.
Teddy: HURRAH, YOU DREW ME THE TEDDY!!! <333 Oh, how I love the teddy. This makes me very happy. *rejoices*
Under the Cloak: Wow. All right, despite my extreme and abiding love for the teddy (*clings to the teddy*), this has to be my favourite of these pictures. The darkness. The rain like shooting stars. The shiny cloak. The way it fades to black at the edges. There are a few places around the boys where you might want to brush up the Invisibility Cloak when you have some time, but otherwise... it's just beautiful.
Wah, I fear your Lucius. *hides under bed*
Now I must go back and stare at the Invisibility Cloak one some more. Pretty... :)

*schnoogles* Glad you like your teddy, m'dear! I'm actually really happy with how that one turned out. I must have tried to sketch that one at least half a dozen times before I got an angle I liked. Draco looks so innocent there... so sweet and adorable that someone *cough* could fall in love with him. :D

I especially like the first, since their expressions are so perfect! <3 And the Lucius one, as you know. The details are lovely.

GREAT!

Sure I can friend you! I don't spend much time on LJ though, so I hope you don't think I'm ignoring you if I'm never on LJ. It'll be a while before I can update Eclipse. You see, in RL, I'm an Army officer, and I've been on a really busy assignment lately. I should be going home in December, and I'll TRY to have the next chapter done and posted not too long after the holidays. If you want to chat with me sometime, the best place to find me is on Yahoo IM. My screen name is Jedi_Mijan. :)
