Really stupid question.
Aug. 26th, 2009 11:18 pmNot sure why I'm fixated on figuring this out, but please, give me your opinions. I've been studying the characters'/actors' faces so that I can do some more fan art, and I've got a thing for Karl Urban's eyebrows anyway, but this is just something my brain needs to know.
Does Karl Urban have a scar through his left eyebrow, or is a bizarre trick of the light combined with the way Teh Eyebrows (TM) have their unique arrangement of follicles? It shows up in some pictures, but not in others, but in enough pictures (and visible during various interview video clips) that it keeps standing out.

For a massive close-up picture, I found this:

What do you think?
(And yes, I already know that I'm fixated. No need to remind me.)

Date: 2009-08-27 07:51 am (UTC)I'm pretty sure that's him. It's odd to see him playing a NOT-douche bag for a change. He usually plays a dirty, grody, grungy...douche bag. I'm enjoying that word a bit too much at the moment, actually. So yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a scar.

Date: 2009-08-27 12:05 pm (UTC)I also happen to think scars are extremely sexy, so perhaps that's why I'm curious about this one.

Date: 2009-08-27 12:22 pm (UTC)And I hate it when Hollywood airbrushes things out. I love little scars. They add character. Chris Pine has a small scar below the left corner of his mouth, just less than an inch down. I like it, and I don't want them to airbrush it out. I think it gives him character. :D

Date: 2009-08-27 01:17 pm (UTC)Also, yes, that is a scar. :D If you needed any more reassurance. So, does this mean we get more art soon? ♥

Date: 2009-08-27 01:19 pm (UTC)I'm still working furiously on fic, and need to get through that first, but I had an art idea and needed to play with reference pics, and started wondering about the eyebrow scar because I've noticed it on him before... because I have an almost identical one in the EXACT same spot on my left eyebrow. *grins like an idiot* Not sure why I find that amusing. Where's your eyebrow scar? I think eyebrow scars are hot.

Date: 2009-08-27 01:23 pm (UTC)Mine is horizontal on my left eyebrow, on the external edge, and it kinda looks like it falls out of the eyebrow. Ish. (Because I fail at physical description, that is to say the opposite edge to his, and apparently yours. :D Does that make sense?) I got it by smacking my head on a granite worktop a few years ago. *more facepalm* It was smaaaart. ♥
Also, I need to work on fic.

Heee... I got mine when I was a year old, jumping on the bed. Made First Contact with the corner of the night table. Apparently, even then, I was more interested in continuing to bounce than getting my bleeding head fixed. :D
And what fic are you working on, my dear? *prods*

Date: 2009-08-27 01:30 pm (UTC):DDD That is such an awesome line. It's an awesomely quotable film, to be honest - a friend of mine who's seen it once sometimes quotes the lines at me because he knows I'm such a geek. :DD
JUMPING ON THE BED IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING. I would do that still, to be honest, except the ceiling is now no longer high enough. And my bed is right next to the window... :D
It's my big bang fic. I was having a bit of a block on it the other day, but I went out last night (and got about three hours sleep, yay) so I'm kinda refreshed, as it were. Also, the deadlines for the big bang are starting to worry me a little. I've got basically two weeks to get it pretty much done, because once school hits I will have no time for anything apart from UCAS and work, and just... Yeah. I don't know. ♥

Date: 2009-08-27 01:33 pm (UTC)Gah, Big Bang fic indeed. At least they say they only need the ROUGH DRAFT, so I still would have time to edit, but I'm going to Dragon*Con and I NEED to get this shit done. Really need to get through this fic. And it's still ripping me apart, but I'm handling it better. But yeah, no time and no sleep. *leans on you* We can do this, right?
Also, I think I've made some career decisions yesterday, which I think might help me in the long run.
