*highfive* Yeah, I know people with birthdays on the 11th and the 13th, but never on the actual day. Also, it's the start of the grouse hunting season in Scotland. Just so's you know. :D

my medical technobabble comment of doom...
:D Which was awesome. Just. Yeah, awesome. *flails some more*

I'll be around a bit, I think. Food at some point, but whatever. I'm recovering from Scotland right now - which involves lying down on my bed and not moving a lot. I fell off a quadbike, so my entire right side aches, and the pair of us polished off two bottles of wine last night, so I have an eensy bit of a hangover. YAY FOR TEENAGERDOM. *facepalm*

Yeah, that's exactly it - lots of people on the 11th and 13th, but almost never another August 12th person. Maybe I'm egocentric, but I seriously believe that there is something extremely special and unique about August 12th. And not just grouse-hunting season in Scotland, although that's cool too. :D

Is awesome? I made an awesome? WHEEEE!!!!

You fell off a quadbike? Now come on, I'm supposed to be the crazy, reckless one who does stupid stunts and goes flying. Just bumps and bruises? You didn't injure your back, did you? And as for the hangover... drink more water, my friend. Lots of water. *nods sagely* Sports drinks are very good, too. Helps to re-balance your electrolytes.

I know what you mean, weirdly enough - there is something about the 12th of August. Although it means that I get mocked so much by my friends, because I'm pretty much the youngest in my RL circle of friends. *facepalm* Wonderful. :D

You always make awesomes. *hugs*

Yeah, I fell off a quadbike. *facepalm* Mainly because I kept forgetting, y'know, the necessity of steering. And I went too fast in a tight circle and didn't hold on. And hey, I can be reckless too! *pouts* I'm fine, don't worry - scraped my hip and bumped my head, but it was on Sunday and there've been no adverse effects except the achy-ness. The friend I was with totally fussed, which was quite sweet. :D

*drinks lots* :D I don't usually get hangovers, so this one's a bit unexpected. But yeah. It was a fun evening, in which we watched the Lord of the Rings extended DVD versions (for Two Towers and Return of the King), and generally acted drunk. There was also nipping out to the extension at about eleven o'clock at night to get more wine - in the wind and the rain - with no shirts on. *facepalm* It was warm inside.

/ramble :D ♥

Well, now I know that if that's just crazy talk, at least we're crazy together! :D

Squee! Awesomeness!

You know that I now have an almost compulsive need to check the dilation response in your pupils and your ability to focus. If you notice any blurriness in your vision or sudden odd headaches... oh hell, your parents are doctors, so they know what to do. But still, I am going into EMT mode. (Did I ever mention that I used to volunteer with an ambulance corps?)

I don't usually get hangovers, so this one's a bit unexpected.
Which is why I'm now concerned about your head, silly. I'm telling you - any sign of an odd headache...

Wind and rain with no shirt? Heh... I can't chastise you... that's something I would do. WOOHOO!!!

*highfive for craziness* XD

(Did I ever mention that I used to volunteer with an ambulance corps?)
You did not. But don't worry, really - like you said, my parents'll know if something's wrong, and I really do feel fine. I can still write and can still spend a four-hour car journey being snarky, which is a plus, so I'll be fine. *hugs*

that's something I would do. WOOHOO!!!
:D It's a regular occurence at parties around here. A friend of mine lives on a main road, and we usually end up (at about one in the morning) running outside down that main road with very little on and getting cars to honk at us. It's fun. Even if one of my friends did get stopped by the police and told to put some clothes on. :D

*Gives you the Eyebrow of Doom (TM)*

Okay, worst concussion I ever had... I fell ten feet from the top of an Army vehicle backwards onto concrete, whacking my head into another vehicle on the way down. Didn't knock me out immediately, but I passed out about five minutes later, and was out for 7 ot 8 minutes, so they told me. I insisted that I was fine, finished my day at my unit, went to ROTC the next morning, where the Colonel told me to go to the hospital immediately (I guess I looked ashen grey and my eyes weren't focusing). I still thought I was fine because I was getting my stuff done, and my head didn't hurt much. (Actually, it felt like I was a bit tired and hungover, truth be told.) I told him I had to go to my uni class before I could do that - it was mandatory, I insisted. So, four classes (including a lab) later, I went back to ROTC, where the Colonel assumed I'd already been to the doctor, and when he found out that I hadn't, he was livid, and had a retired Special Forces Command Sergeant Major ESCORT me to the emergency room. Yeah.

So... with mild concussions, and sometimes even with major ones, you feel mostly fine. And then shit happens. Which is why I worry, because I am over-protective and all that shit. Forgive me - it's just who I am. I look out for people.

Anyway, back to nakedness in the rain - that's awesome. At least they don't tend to arrest you. Here in the USA, people are such prudes, seriously. Nudity laws are super strict and people are too uptight. Which is why I love being Pagan - nudity is part of the subculture, and it's all good. :D

*headdesk*

Sorry.

What? No, it's fine - I just got dragged off to eat with my family and totally didn't forget that you'd commented. Totally didn't. *blushes* And then I got caught up in writing and yeah, I'm an idiot. Which we've established, methinks.

*hugs* ♥♥

You're not an idiot. I'm writing, too. Even though I need to head out to the labs. I'm writing an academy era story, which I thought of yesterday. :D

And I also cross-posted the art like you suggested. :D

*has just come back from a) a long phone conversation with a friend and b) [livejournal.com profile] kirk_mccoy*

:D See? Look at all your fangirls on the comm. *hugs*

Ooh, academy era. That sounds interesting. Oh, just out of interest, any more on the Draco/Chekov one? I really liked how that was going. :D

And yeah, writing. I'm not even writing fic right now. I'm using writing as therapy, as it were. *frowns at Word* Anyway. ♥

Not fangirls... just... *blushes* But I don't feel like it's real fanart because it's boring. I mean, people squee over chibis and sex scenes and stuff, and I just drew portraits. I have no idea why I am so pathetic about this, seriously.

And yes, Academy era. First semester. I've been running dialogue and cleverness in my head for the past hour while I did chemical and radiation waste handling. This is going to be FUN.

Yes, I wrote some more of the Draco/Chekov one, and I did a bit more fleshing out of the transporter room scene, fixed a few things, and so on.

And there's nothing wrong with using writing as therapy. Why do you think I torment my characters so horribly and put them through hell and subject them to things that should scare the shit out of me? Therapy! :D

*hugs* I prefer "serious" fanart. After a while, chibis and porn get a little samey. Something that's well done is refreshing. Like these.

This is going to be FUN.
:D I have no doubt. And if you need a beta, yeah, I'm totally here. Draco/Chekov, too.

Yeah, but it's not therapy-therapy (because fuck knows I do the whole put-them-through-hell thing), it's just... Idk. Some stuff happened in Scotland that was kinda weird (in between the falling off quadbikes and running around shirtless). It's here. It's not even fandom. *facepalm*

Sorry, I'm in a bit of a strange mood right now.

Oh boy...

I've gotta step out for a minute. I'll explain later, but... incidental puppy. Yeah.

*HUGS* I'll be back, hun, if you need anything.
