Just finished writing the Trek fic...

With about 1/3 of the fic unbeta'd, it's not yet ready to post, but it's done other than editing.  32,031 words long.

I hope to have it posted within the next couple of days.  Probably going to post it in six or seven installments.  Still need to figure out how to chop it up.  It took a lot out of me, but it was fun!  Hopefully, people will enjoy it!

By the way, wook77 , this was the fic that was spawned by the prompt on your LJ, even though I didn't end up following the prompt at all.  I'm not sure if that means you take the blame or the credit for it, but... there ya go.

Damnit, I need a beer, and I need to get McCoy's voice out of my head.

I kinda feel like I'm betraying my connections to the HP fandom, but at the same time, I've been a Trek fan for MUCH MUCH longer - 25 years. It's just so FREEING that I can finally play in that fandom like this, and have other people INTERESTED in it. I mean, hell, there are young people who WANT to watch the original series now! It's amazing!

I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to reading the part you sent me. For some reason, can't image what, my brain is having trouble with thinky thoughts on any track other than what color to paint the nursery (willowbrook green for three walls and a whole bunch for a mural on the last), moving all the crap that doesn't belong in the nursery out (finally finished this last night), Organizing people to come help paint sometime this week (?????), and how to get this kid to see the light of day sometime soon (PROFIT!!!)

I do look forward to reading it when it is all done and posted, though you shouldn't expect intelligent feedback from me. :~P
