BOSTON! Hellooooo Boston...

I'm coming to Boston!  Ah, my city.  How I miss it.  Alas, I'll need a place to stay while I am there.  Can you help me? 

Here are the details:

When: August 9th to August 14th, minus one or two overnights mid-week.
What I need:  A couch, an air mattress, a piece of floor, some blankets and a pillow... whatever you're willing to lend where I might fall asleep.  Plus daily access to a shower.
What I'll be doing:  Running around the city with lizardspots , and taking an overnight in NH to visit my mom and see the mountains.  I'll leave in the morning and come back at night, and will be absolutely considerate of your sleep and work schedule.  If you want, maybe you can join us for some fun around the city, too!
I don't: Smoke, shed, or leave the toilet seat up. 
I won't: Eat your food, drink your beer, or ask to watch your TV... unless you decide to offer... which is always lovely.  :)
What you'll get out of this: My eternal gratitude, the pleasure of my company, and whatever else we might negotiate.

So... can you help me?  Boston peeps... are you there?

I'm not sure how brain-fried I will be as that is RIGHT after I get back from WorldCon--WC is that weekend, I come back Tuesday.

we'll definitely be around in august so if you don't get a better offer you're welcome at our place. my mum will likely be living with us and perhaps my brother but we have plenty of room (a whole guest room in fact!). so if you end up needing a place, let me know!

Anyway, yes, it's okay if you bring a friend. We have both a futon room and a guest bed room.

I... er... kinda threw that out there without really planning because I was my usual self: "OMG SQUEE FRIEND PARTY BEER YAY!" You know how I am. Totally want you to come. Just need to get my act together and make sure I haven't overlapped any plans. *meep*

There's an anime convention here in Kansas City that weekend. Fi is volunteering for it, and I'm going to go in my Yuuri costume. It might not be Harry Potter, but it's geeks, geeks, and more geeks. And if we get bored of anime, we'll go out to a pub and geek out over beer. :D

Heh. I got that when I got home, but was cramming to get cookies ready for the meetup we went to last night, then was too tired when I got home to do anything about it. (I honestly did shout out to Mijan from my comfy spot under the covers to bring me my phone so I could reply to you, but she replied here instead.) And just FYI (since I keep the calendar in this relationship and Mijan just squees and makes plans), the weekend of the 13th is Naka Kon" here in Kansas City. (anime convention) I think Mijan was thinking of stopping by at some point, but I'm helping run the registration table, so I'll probably be gone during the day. Not that I care if you all are here, just so you know that I'll be gone a lot. Unless you LIKE anime and want to crash it for a day. That could be fun, too.

If she doesn't end up wanting to go, I'll probably come down Thursday by myself. If she does want to go, we'll be there around 6 or 7 on Friday.

That works just fine. I don't have to attend the whole convention. It's not like a regular sci-fi/fantasy convention, or a HP convention where I'll want to be there the whole time. I can enjoy going for a few hours, geeking out in costumes, and then going to a pub for beer and greasy food. :D

Well, she didn't really want to go, and I sort of don't want to go without her to help drive, and it turns out one of my favorite artists is in Chicago that weekend, and that's better for both of us, and this artist may be the love of my life......................

Well, if all goes well I will be on vacation, erm, between jobs, that is.

I'm looking for a new job with a similar schedule of vacation. Wish me luck and then some.
