And... yeah, I cosplayed as Potter quite famously in the HP fandom for several years. This summer will be my last jaunt as Harry. I was fairly well known for that character. I was actually in last July's issue of Movie Magic Magazine for my cosplay. Three paragraphs of discussion and quotes, plus a picture. This is the picture they used: That's me in the middle, of course, in the Quidditch robes.
And no, nobody has ever told me before that I look remotely like either Karl Urban or DeForest Kelley or any combination of either of them. I've been accused of looking like Dan Radcliff as Harry Potter, or looking like Frodo... but seriously, it's costuming. I pick characters that I know I can play. But yeah, for years, people equated me with Harry Potter. I showed up at a convention in my regular clothes, and people asked me why I wasn't Harry. Go figure, right?
Anyway, it's insanely late, and I've got to work in the morning. *sigh* It's too cold to even want to go outside. But my wife is in bed, waiting for me, keeping the blankets warm. Goodnight!
