Good hurt/comfort is a fanfic trope that is all too easy to enjoy. I can't go for gushy-saccharine-sweet stuff, but the recipient wanted something fairly sweet and fluffy... so I enjoyed playing with the dialogue and banter so it didn't get too sappy. I'm glad it worked for you!
