Obviously I'm no expert on TOS!Kirk and whatnot, but I do think it's quite good that all the actors say they went and watched TOS, and that they're not just reading the lines. That's dedication, and it's respect for the franchise and the fans.
And now, I've just come to the conclusion that I have new beloved characters! :D The best way to think about it, I think, because otherwise your brain will just implode. Which would be bad. *hugs*
