I wanted people to have those minutes with Jim of "what if Bones was dead?" Even though Jim knew Bones was okay at that point, he'd had that moment when he really thought Bones had died in front of him, and he couldn't shake that thought. So I wanted to play with that emotion of loss without being really sure of it. I'm curious though... "inexplicably" relieved? In what way inexplicable?
It's the best part of human nature when folks help out other people in times of tragedy and emergencies. It's good to know that people still do that. :)
