I can't lay claim to this one myself, but it was brought to my attention that Cedric Diggory's father is influential in the Ministry, AND he's not happy with Harry.

So, the prediction:
~ Amos Diggory will be the next Minister of Magic.
~ Diggory will cause trouble for Harry.

That's all for now, folks!

I concur. Oh, wait, I already did...*g*
Diggory as Minister of Magic, you say? Hmmm. Does that mean Fudge is our next dead man walking?
Nothing but trouble for our hero *sigh*.
Cheers!

I'd like to see Fudge die... he deserves it. Almost as bad as the evils he ignores.

And of course there's nothing but trouble for Harry! Poor kid... that's his job... he's the hero.

OH! I was rereading book four yesterday *in my quest to reread them all twice before six comes out* and it said something that might be helpful in the Longbottom Theory. It said:

Lucius has just given a very generous contribution to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries...

so he might not even be doing all of these bribes under the table, but out in plain view where he can be recognized for being a "nice person" for such "generous" donations.

Second note: Hm... I never thought of Amos as an important character, but what you say makes sense. I think I agree.

Oh, believe me, the part about Lucius's "very generous donations" was exactly what I was thinking about when I developed my "Longbottom theory". Good show, picking out that passage. :)
