It was too brilliant not to share...

From Pundit Kitchen, the offshoot site of icanhascheezburger.com...

I didn't make that LOL, and I didn't make this one either, but gosh-darn, it's so true:

I love the confederate flag in the front yard as well.

(I really need to get me a political icon that's funny outside Oregon.)

Okay, I'll bite, what IS your icon about, in Oregon even?

Measure 36 was a measure to ban gay marriage. Conservatives put bumper stickers on their car that said "ONE MAN ONE WOMAN YES ON 36." My papa stole the image off their website and made this icon. One man, two women: yes on 369!

Measure 36 passed, unfortunately.

I'm in Europe right now, and *EVERYBODY* I've met has made sure to ask me if I'm voting for Obama XD It's as though they can see the whole picture, without the idjits in the way :)

Great signs, to be sure. But, imho that's not what my neighborhood looks like at home (I live in GA). There are plenty of Confederate flags, but far more Obama support signs than I would have imagined!

LOL!

We just had a federal election over here in Beaverland ourselves. Our politicians are so boring. *shakes head* Though I'm sincerely glad. :P

[identity profile] mijan.livejournal.com 2008-10-22 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG, I completely forgot! And I was following that story, too! ACK! Who won???

And considering the fact that 95% of my family lives in Canada, I don't think of it as "beaverland." More like... the nation of relative intelligence and common sense to the north. And I WISH our politicians were so boring. Really.

[identity profile] midnight-birth.livejournal.com 2008-10-22 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I have only seen a few beavers in all my years living here. Hee. Conservatives won by a very little sway.

There is a tradition in Europe of supporting the Democratic candidate so this doesn't surprise me...a friend of mine thinks it grossly unfair that when the man who is essentially the leader of the Western world is chosen, not all people of that Western world get a vote :) Happy dreams.

tee-hee! Why does the first one look as if "Pinky" was perving on "Brain"'s arse? :P

[identity profile] mijan.livejournal.com 2008-10-23 12:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I kinda wish they got a vote, too. Most non-American Westerners are more educated in a global manner than Americans.

...

Who am I kidding? The average European is simply far more educated - PERIOD - than the average American. And far less deluded by ridiculous bullshit.

[identity profile] mijan.livejournal.com 2008-10-23 12:00 pm (UTC)(link)
*sigh*

Sad.

ARGH! Speak not of such things!
