... I kinda agree with you on that, which makes me feel slightly strange. I absolutely adore Tolkien (first read the books at the tender age of seven), but I think I admire him more for his worldbuilding and the complexities of the storylines more than his writing style. Idk. He was an awesome man.
To be honest, I don't really mind the changes movies make. I mean, it's going to happen, so I just kinda ignore it now - but yeah, the whole paths of the dead bit in the RotK film kinda irks me. THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. AND WHERE ARE ELLADAN AND ELROHIR??
