Stupid caucuses. And... Feedback Meme... okay, I'm in.

I got home late from work because the last kid in my Mad Science class was picked up over a half hour late.  Obnoxious parents.  Made me too late to make it to the caucus.  Fucking Kansas with its fucking caucus.  Seriously, a caucus is the DUMBEST thing in the history of modern politics.  Maybe it was a good idea back in the old days... the VERY old days... but not now.  Anyone who is working during the exact time of the caucus can't go.  I want to be able to go to the polls before work if I'm working late, or after work if I'm working early, cast my damn ballot, and then leave.  But no... I've got to be in line by a certain time in the evening, and if I'm late, I can't get in.  And then, I'd have to stay for however long it takes to argue and pester and badger people with opinions to sway them to my side.  That's STUPID.  I've already made up my mind, and if a person hasn't made up his or her mind by the time they arrive, then why the hell are they voting?  *sigh*  Whatever.

The way I figure it, I've talked to tons of people before today, swayed some people, discussed issues, and made my impact that way.  You better believe that I'll be voting in November when we're allowed to have real ballots.  But this caucus thing... fuck.  I've got a horrible headache, and even if I'd gotten out of work on time, I don't know if I could handle the caucus process right now when I want to get the hell away from most forms of noise and human life.  Why can't I just get a piece of paper, write down my choice, and leave?  That's what normal people in normal places do, right???  Oh, Kansas... I smite thee.

So, I'm sick.  My mother was a teacher for twenty years, and she told me that the first year she taught, her students gave her every flu, cold, and other minor illness going around.  I'm teaching with Mad Science, and so I'm essentially a petri dish for every virus and bacteria that those little walking incubators called children are carrying.  I feel like crap.  Head hurts.  Tummy ache.  Sinuses.  Nose.  Sneezing all afternoon.  I need love.  I keep seeing this feedbackmeme mentioned on my f-list, so... I'm in.

I've been a bit lazy about FictionAlley lately. Just to damn busy. And that's also why I haven't updated my sequel lately, either. I haven't forgotten it though, I promise. I've just got another fic I have to write, and an original novel I have to write, and... and... *ded*

But I'm glad you enjoyed Eclipse! It's a constant amazement to me that people I've never met have read it, and that I'll meet people at random places who have read it. It's... really cool. :)

LOL! no, I demand you put everything down and finish the sequel for I must have it..to read..to..carress.. Ok, not carress but you get the point.

Do you imagine you will finish it anytime soon? or..er..update? O.O Im afraid I dont find many well written, multi chaptered Harry/Draco fics. Have you read Irresistable [sp] Poison? Wonderful!

Well Im active in a few fandoms. Harry Potter is probably the biggest but I have yet to go to any conventions. =3

Aaah, I *thought* was active in the HP fandom, and THEN I went to my first convention. It was like entering a new world... where everyone was as geeky as me, and Muggle clothes were the exception (not the norm). You should try it. I'm going to Terminus in Chicago this year. A lot of the slashers are going to be there, and a large portion of the active H/D corner of fandom.

And of course I read IP. I think I read that back in 2003. Rhysenn used to be the Captain of the S.S. Guns'n'Handcuffs on SCUSA (FictionAlley Park), and then passed the hat to me.

There are a lot of other really good, chaptered H/D fics. I can find some quality recs lists for you... but not right now. Bed time. Exhausted. Talk to you tomorrow, perhaps? Yahoo messenger? :)

I've read a bit of the SS XD interesting stuff. Its just hard for me to find good long HP H/D fanfics. Ive found a few but theyre hard to find, burried among badly written fics.
