Oh god, I was sure he was gone. I literally caught my breath when he spoke--"That's Mijan's Bones' voice! Is Jim hallucinating, or--?" The buildup of tension until that moment, the peak as the truth reveals itself, and then the slow winding down into it's okay, really is just perfect.
Incidentally, recently I was reading over old entries, and at some point I said I just couldn't do Jim/Bones. Couldn't believe in it. That idea seems so foreign now, and it's entirely your fault.
