Green Burials

Sometimes, I see a little something that Kansas is doing, and I feel a bit better about living here. Last week, I learned that Greensburgh (that town that got decimated by a tornado a couple of years ago) has begun an amazingly comprehensive rebuilding effort that is based on environmentally friendly technologies and policies. (http://www.greensburgks.org/) That alone is really impressive - taking such a catastrophe and turning it into an opportunity.
And now, this from Lawrence, KS:
"Lawrence Offering Green Burials"
Although some private cemeteries offer "green" burial options, this is the first time a public cemetery, ANYWHERE IN THE NATION, is offering this option. I think it's awesome, and that's exactly how I want my remains to be handled after I die in a skydiving accident at the age of 104.
